Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SignetKit website, applications, APIs, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, uploading a document, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account eligibility and registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have valid parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
  • You may sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account information and to update it as necessary.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Upload, store, or process documents that you do not have the legal right to possess, share, or modify.
  • Use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, harassing, abusive, illegal, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service’s infrastructure, security controls, or other users’ data.
  • Circumvent storage quotas, subscription limits, or access controls.

3. Your content and representations

You retain ownership of the documents and content you upload or create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant SignetKit a limited license to host, process, encrypt, index, and display your content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have all necessary rights to the content you upload;
  • the content does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights, including privacy, intellectual property, and contractual rights;
  • you will not upload content containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code.

4. Password-protected documents

SignetKit does not currently provide tools to unlock password-protected PDFs. If you upload a password-protected document, you must decrypt it yourself before upload using a trusted PDF application. The version stored by SignetKit is the unencrypted file you upload. By uploading any previously protected document, you represent that you are authorized to unlock and process it.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Some features require a paid subscription. Fees are billed through our payment processor, Razorpay, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

6. Service levels and limitations

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Specifically:

  • AI-generated answers are produced from retrieved document context and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of context. You must verify any factual, legal, or financial answer against the source document.
  • The document assistant depends on a configured language model provider. If that provider is unavailable, the assistant feature may be temporarily disabled.
  • Free-tier usage is subject to page limits, storage quotas, and feature restrictions described on the pricing page.

7. Intellectual property

SignetKit and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, trademarks, templates, and generated artifacts that are not your original content. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Third-party services and sub-processors

The Service relies on the following third-party sub-processors, each bound by appropriate data protection obligations:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — R2 object storage and presigned URLs.
  • Google LLC — OAuth identity and profile data.
  • Razorpay Software Private Limited — payment processing.
  • Ollama or configured LLM provider — ephemeral inference for document Q&A.
  • PostgreSQL hosting provider — encrypted metadata and vector index storage.

We may add or replace sub-processors as the Service evolves. We will update the sub-processor list in these Terms and provide notice for materially different processing.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, pose a security risk, or use the Service unlawfully. Upon termination, we will delete your content as described in the Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law.

10. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SignetKit disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall SignetKit be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SignetKit, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, except where injunctive relief is sought.

13. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
